Home About TTC Background of Establishment

To cope with the advent of digital convergence, to contribute to the development and better functioning for ICT and communications sectors, and to provide assistance to Directorate General of Telecommunications (DGT, former telecoms regulator) on regulatory issues, the Telecom Technology Center (TTC) was established under the “Plan for Telecom Technology Center” of the DGT of May 2002, as part of the “Challenge 2008: National Development Plan” of Executive Yuan.

TTC was established as an advisory group to the National Communications Commission (NCC, Taiwan’s communications regulator) in February 2004. It conducts research on policies and technologies of communications and cyber security. TTC also devotes itself to provide world class testing, certification, and consultancy services for ICT products, and to assist the local ICT sector with upgrading its competitiveness.
