ICT Equipment Security Testing Services
In order to enhance the security of the use of ICT equipment by government agencies, and to promote the security of the Nation’s ICT environment. In 2010, the NCC announced eight technical specifications for security testing of ICT equipment. Then in 2013, two new technical specifications were announced to establish a compliance approval mechanism for information security equipment, to enhance the security requirements and awareness of users and manufactures of ICT equipment.
The Info-Com Security Testing Laboratory has been technically accredited by Taiwan Accreditation Foundation (hereinafter referred to as TAF) and NCC to provide security testing services for a variety of ICT equipment and verify its security protection ability, indeed meet the requirements of security technical specifications.
Laboratory Accreditation
- In July 2012, the laboratory was accredited by TAF and NCC to provide security testing services for 8 major ICT equipment.
- In August 2014, the laboratory was accredited by TAF and NCC to provide security testing services for 10 major ICT equipment.
- In March 2018, the laboratory was accredited by TAF to provide basic information security testing services for mobile apps of the Industrial Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
- In June 2018, our laboratory was accredited by TAF to provide security testing services for the smartphone built-in software system.
- In July 2018, the laboratory was accredited by TAF to provide physical machine security testing technical services for 10 major ICT equipment.
- In July 2018, as the country’s first testing laboratory acquired TAF-approved video surveillance system security standard recognition.
- In December 2018, as the country’s first testing laboratory acquired TAF-approved wireless camera security testing recognition.
- In January 2019, as the country’s first testing laboratory acquired TAF accreditation NCC ISG011 (Technical Guidelines for Security Testing of Information and Communication Device for Wireless Local Area Network Access and Wireless Local Area Network Router) testing service.
- In June 2019, as the country’s first testing laboratory acquired TAF accreditation NCC ISG012 (Technical Specification for Security Testing of Information and Communication Device for Fixed Network and Communication Multimedia Content Transmission Platform with Internet Connection function, and Cable Radio Set-Top Box) testing services.
